Create a menu
Go to Appearance > Menus and create a new menu. The name of the menu is irrelevant. Add pages to the menu. Under Menu settings, set the menu to ‘Primary Navigation’ or ‘Secondary Navigation’. Save the menu.
Icons
You can add icons to the menu items ‘my account’, ‘checkout’ and ‘login’ (see screenshot).
To add the icons, navigate to Appearance > Menus. Next, click in the right upper corner on ‘Screen Options’. Make sure ‘CSS Classes’ is active. When you open a menu item under ‘Menu Structure’ you see an extra input field for the CSS Classes.
Add the following classes for the icons:
Insert the Class account to create a person icon in front of your menu item.
Insert the class checkout to create a credit card icon in front of your menu item.
Insert the class login to create a lock icon in front of your menu item.
Subpages
The primary navigation is designed for using subpages. The subpages will show in a dropdown menu. You can create submenus by placing a menu item under the parent and indent it to the right.
Top navigation widget
The secondary navigation / sticky navigation has a widget area for adding some text. The font type can be changed by navigating to Customize > Google Fonts Settings.
